HAMR Expands to Neighborhood 91

HAMR Industries LLC has signed a term sheet with The Buncher Company for the build out of a new additive manufacturing (AM) focused facility at the Neighborhood 91 campus in Clinton, PA. The Neighborhood 91 concept is based on consolidating the regions AM focused companies and their relevant up-stream and down-stream suppliers and service providers into an efficient, close-knit, and collaborative community. With inert gas suppliers, powder feedstock suppliers, and a number of AM-focused tenants, Neighborhood 91 is rapidly moving from concept to capability and HAMR is excited to join the Neighborhood on the ground floor. HAMR Industries LLC will add its materials development expertise and combined computational-experimental driven strategy to the community, along with its WarpSPEE3D large format cold spray AM system and custom-built large format direct ink write ceramic AM system.

Located at the Pittsburgh International Airport, Neighborhood 91 offers the potential for rapid part deployment to customers worldwide. The campus leverages not only the tenants capabilities, but the legacy capabilities of the broader Pittsburgh region. Home to Pitt University and Carnegie Mellon University, the region provides ample academic resources and recruiting opportunities from Universities focused in additive manufacturing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence driven processes. Numerous manufacturers, high tech companies, and federal organizations such as the National Energy Technology Laboratory and Naval Nuclear Laboratory call this region home. With NASA, Penn State University, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and Washington DC all within driving distance, the location is central to a number of large collaborating institutions and funding organizations. The advantages of this location are clear, and HAMR is excited to join the Neighborhood.
