Air Force Research Laboratory Funds Phase I SBIR
The Air Force Research Laboratory has funded HAMR Industries LLC for a Phase I SBIR effort to develop a robust modeling framework for Air Force relevant problems. The ability to predict component performance and develop new solutions is inhibited by the high cost and accessibility of modeling software. This is further hindered by the general complexity of a electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical effects spanning various length scales, times scales, and overarching physical descriptions.
HAMR Industries is addressing these challenges by developing an open-source FEM framework. Assisted by the Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University, HAMR is providing a multiphysics tool which will enable robust, open-source, and input-agnostic solutions. Work in this program will pave the way for efficient development of new radome, window, and aperture solutions for the next-generation of Air Force platforms.
