The Grand Opening

On April 18th, HAMR had their official Grand Opening where colleagues, collaborators, and customers gathered to hear some warm remarks and tour the new completed Neighborhood 91 location. During this event, the team performed a live demo of the WarpSPEE3D Cold Spray AM printer. The team opened our doors and showcased their capabilities and the vision for the future of the company.

This event came after months of hard work and dedication from our team and over a year and half of planning and executing. This includes the acquisition and installation of the WarpSPEE3D and moving the company to the new location, all while continuing our current projects and work. This was put nicely by HAMR’s CEO, Michael Schmitt, in a recent LinkedIn post:

… During the buildout, we rolled up our own sleeves and participated where we could to get the most out of our build. We continued in this spirit from assisting in the initial installation of our AM equipment in December, all the way to the open house this week, where we were installing electric windows and fabricating and installing our own custom lobby artwork…

This evening also doubled as a Grand Opening for our Neighbors - Metal Powder Works (MPW)! During theirs, groups of guests ventured over to watch the WarpSPEE3D live demo MPWs powder. This demo utilized MPWs powder in real time and culminated with MPW’s logo being printed out of copper!
